Russia: 14 bridges remain flooded in the Tula region

At 5.30 p.m. on April 1, a bridge at low tide across the Oka River in the village of Grigoryevskoye, Yasnogorsk district, was flooded. A personal plot in the urban district of Tula along the Likhvinsky pass was freed from water.

In the Tula region, 14 low-flow bridges in eight municipalities remain flooded, as well as two sections of roads in two municipalities:

– Bridges over the Upa River in the settlements of Merlinovka and Berniki of the Tula district, in the settlements of Nikolskoye and Orlovo of the Shchekino district, in the settlements of Pavlovskoye, Bolotskoye and the village of Slobodka of the Odoevsky district, in the Mishnevo and Matyukhinsky settlements of the Suvorov district, in the village of Staroe Berkovoe of the Dubensky district.

– Bridges over the Oka River in the settlement of Chekalin, Suvorov district, the settlement of Nikolo-Gastun, Belevsky district.

– Bridge over the Wet Tabola River in the village of Ustye, Kimovsky district.

– A bridge over the Besputa River in the village of Grigorievskoye, Yasnogorsk district.

– A section of the road along Rybnaya Street in the city of Aleksin.

– A section of road on the Dreira embankment in Tula.

Traffic on the bridges was stopped, detour routes were organized. Medical care is provided in the settlements. A stock of food and basic necessities has been established. Boat trips are organised. Fire safety is also ensured.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations transport the population on a caterpillar floating vehicle on the Upa River in the village of Nikolskoye, Shchekino district. The coastal strip and the bridge over the Upa River between the settlements of Zavalovo and Prudki were also cleared of debris, tree trunks, logging residues and dry vegetation.
