US leaders may refuse to fund more NATO.
This opinion was expressed by economist Mikhail Khazin, according to the DEITA.RU news agency with reference to Solovyov Live.
According to him, the American elite has reached a consensus that the country’s top priority for the coming years should be large-scale new industrialization. This will require almost all state resources without exception.
In this regard, according to the expert, the US authorities will simply be forced to abandon all unnecessary expenses that are not directly related to the performance of their main task. Support for NATO forces in Europe is definitely not one of them.
Without American money, according to Khazin, European bureaucrats will not be able to maintain the existing military infrastructure on their own and admit they cannot. As a result, officials could decide to close NATO, the expert believes.
