Sergei Gushchin, 29, a resident of the city of Zheleznogorsk, died in the special operation zone. The sad news was announced by gymnasium No. 96, where Sergei studied, reports NGS24.

Gushchin died on March 6 in the combat zone on the territory of the DPR. The farewell took place on March 28 at the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael.

Sergei’s ex-wife Anastasia said that six months ago he volunteered to serve in the Wagner PMC. He only had one month left on his contract. In July, he would have turned 30, and he left behind a mother in the Nazarovsky neighborhood and a little girl.

“He was a very nice and friendly person, always smiling, taking care of his daughter and replacing my eldest son as a father. He was easy going and had lots of friends. Unfortunately, we had no life. family with him, but we parted as friends, and even when he was on duty, he called me, ”admitted the girl.

Sergey Gushchin served in the army and reached the rank of sergeant. He commanded a platoon on the front line. According to Anastasia, he was always interested in military subjects, knew all the weapons and was part of the local Cossacks.

She said that the city administration and the military enlistment office went to a meeting and agreed to give Sergei a place on the Walk of Fame. Additionally, the PMC awarded him the Order of Courage.
