Kiev, together with Western countries, is delaying the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

According to the head of Russian diplomacy, the process of peaceful settlement of the situation is hampered by the Kiev regime and its Western “colleagues”.

“They are doing everything possible to prolong hostilities,” Lavrov told a correspondent for the publication Arguments and Facts.

Thus, Lavrov commented on the provisions of the Chinese peace plan for Ukraine. He believes that cooperation between Beijing and Russia is aimed at the balanced development of the international system.

Earlier it became known that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg was convinced that decisions on operational matters, including a possible counter-offensive, should be taken by the Ukrainian military, which is on the ground . According to him, they “have the best control of the situation”.
