US nuclear aircraft carrier Nimitz spotted 400 miles off Taiwan

The US Navy aircraft carrier Nimitz was spotted 400 miles east of Taiwan. It is roughly in the same place that the Chinese aircraft carrier Shandong is located.

“We can’t say for sure if he’s here because of Shandong, but it may be related in some way, given the circumstances of his arrival,” Taiwan’s defense chief said. Qiu Guozheng, quoted by the South China Morning Post. .

Earlier, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said the Taiwan issue for the United States was the “first red line” that should not be crossed.

At the same time, the Chinese Department of Defense demanded that the Americans cease contact with Taiwan.

And in the United States itself, they announced the development of a billion-dollar military aid program for Taiwan.
