Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

A Palestinian child was injured in an Israeli bombing of Gaza, and 4 young men were arrested in the West Bank

Today, a Palestinian child was injured in an Israeli bombardment that targeted the southern Gaza Strip. Palestinian medical sources said that a child, whose identity has not been determined, sustained several injuries, as a result of the Israeli shelling that took place near his parents’ house.

On the other hand, the Palestinian Ministry of Health denounced the Israeli occupation forces’ attacks, which caused damage to Al-Durra Children’s Hospital, east of Gaza. The ministry indicated that the Israeli bombing constitutes a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Convention, which provides for the protection of health institutions, and not to target them militarily.

The occupation artillery and warplanes continued to bomb separate targets in the Gaza Strip today, causing severe damage to Palestinian property. In a related context, two Palestinian youths were wounded by Israeli occupation forces’ bullets, today, during clashes that broke out in the town of Beit Ummar, and the occupation forces arrested four youths from Hebron Governorate, in the southern occupied West Bank.

Large forces of the occupation army stormed the areas of Khallet Al-Ain and Al-Tarbiqa in the town of Beit Ummar, and raided a number of houses, searched them and tampered with their contents.
