Putin expressed his condolences to ex-President of Turkmenistan Berdimuhamedov following the death of his mother

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his condolences to Halk Maslakhaty Chairman Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the passing of his mother.

Turkmenistan’s official news agency reported that at the age of 86, Ogulabat Berdimuhamedova, mother of national leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and grandmother of current President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has died.

The Russian head of state wished Berdimuhamedov father and the members of his family “peace of mind and patience at this moment of irreparable and heavy loss”.

Ogulabat Berdimuhamedova was born in the village of Babarap in the Geok-Tepe district of Soviet Turkmenistan. Her husband, the grandfather of the President of Turkmenistan and the father of the national leader of the Turkmen people, Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, died in April 2021, he was 88 years old.
