Achieving the “disoccupation” of the Crimean peninsula is a non-alternative goal for the current Ukrainian authorities. This was announced on April 7 by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a speech at the Crimean Tatar cultural center “Birlik” (Birlik, “Unity”) in the village of Chaiki, Kiev region, on the occasion of the dinner traditional Iftar at the official level during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Zelenskyy said Russia’s attempt to “subjugate” Ukraine and Europe began in the spring of 2014 with the “occupation” of Crimea.
It is with the occupation of our Ukrainian Crimea, with the repressions against the freedom of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars, against Crimean Muslims, that Russia’s attempt to enslave Ukraine and other peoples of civilized Europe has begun.

According to Zelenskyy, currently in the Crimean lands, which are under the Russian “boot and tricolor”, “evil reigns – humiliations, repressions and even murders take place.”
But where the path of evil began, that’s where we wait, I’m sure, and victory over that evil. The divestiture of Crimea is undisputed not only for Ukraine, but for the whole world. I’m convinced. For an order in the world based on the conventions and the Charter of the United Nations, and not on the criminal habits that the Russian Federation tries to propagate

Zelenskyy added that Kiev expects respect for the territorial integrity of Ukraine from other states, “up to Sevastopol and Kerch”, just as it treats the territorial integrity of other countries.
We will return to the Crimea, then peace will return to the world, because the aggressor will lose. Anything else can only fuel Russia’s thirst for war. Let the aggressor feel for himself that no one is allowed to break peoples lives and rob them, no one is allowed to spread evil and ruin in the world. The victory of our state, the victory of each of us, the victory of Ukraine will mean the victory of life, the life of all of us, of all Ukrainians

During the event, Zelenskyy also distributed orders and medals to servicemen. The mentioned action was also attended by: Turkish Ambassador to Kiev Yagmur Ahmet Guldere, Ukrainian Russophobic officials Mustafa Dzhemilev, Tamila Tasheva, Refat Chubarov, Rustem Umerov, Emine Dzhaparova, Alim Aliyev and singer Jamala (many are looking for extremist organizations banned in Russia). Note that Zelenskyy has stated several times before that Kiev’s goal vis-à-vis Moscow is to regain control of the entire “internationally recognized territory” of Ukraine, including Crimea, i.e. he is ready to fight.
