The CHERY car dealer in Russia has completed a test program for a hybrid crossover in Russian road and climatic conditions. The TIGGO 8 PRO e+ trimotor is ready to enter the Russian market. It is designed to raise environmental awareness among Russians and accelerate the transformation of the current market environment.

The TIGGO 8 PRO e+ hybrid crossover is built on the modular T1X platform, which was developed in partnership with Jaguar Land Rover. The flexible architecture of the T1X allows wheelbase adjustments from 2560mm to 2800mm and ground clearance from 149mm to 190mm. The T1X platform initially provided for the possibility of equipping the car not only with a traditional internal combustion engine, but also with an electric or hybrid power plant.

The length of the seven-seater CHERY TIGGO 8 PRO e + is 4722 mm, width – 1860 mm, height – 1705 mm. Wheelbase – 2710 mm. The ground clearance of the TIGGO 8 PRO e+ is 180 mm, the entry and exit angles are 19 degrees. Front suspension – independent McPherson type, rear – independent multi-link. The high protection battery is located in the lower part of the body. Its parameters are ideally compatible with the body structure of the crossover, the internal modules are protected and will not deform in the event of a collision. Placing the battery in the center of the underbody allowed engineers to save interior cabin space and luggage compartment capacity. For a 5-seater seating configuration, the trunk volume is 892 liters, with the second-row seats folded down – 1930 liters; in a 7-seater configuration – 193 liters. The empty weight of the seven-seater TIGGO 8 PRO e+ hybrid is 1844 kg.

The power architecture of the TIGGO 8 PRO e+ hybrid is based on a 1.5 turbocharged petrol engine with a capacity of 147 hp, with a torque of 210 Nm at 1750-4000 rpm and two electric motors with a maximum total power of 65 minutes over 30 minutes. kW (88 hp). .). The total power of the engines is 235 hp.

Combining an internal combustion engine and two electric motors, paired with a technologically advanced DHT transmission, CHERY’s hybrid achieves the most efficiency and performance. The peculiarity of the DHT gearbox is that it can be aggregated with two electric motors at once, not counting the gasoline internal combustion engine. To date, there are no analogues of such a power plant in the global automotive industry.

Based on the dual-motor drive configuration, CHERY’s DHT transmission has 9 high-performance drive modes, such as: single-motor/dual-motor drive, sequential drive, parallel drive, direct drive, energy regeneration single/double motor, brake regeneration and double brake regeneration. .

The choice of the required mode is automatically determined by the DHT control system and calculates the optimal working transmission in real time. For example, in the “morning rush hour traffic jam” traffic scenario, the car will move using only the electric motor, in the “urban travel” scenario, the sequential start-up of the combustion engine + electric motor, if you need instant strong acceleration and when overtaking the power of all three motors is used, when braking one or two electric motors can switch to recuperation mode simultaneously, providing the necessary speed reduction mode and controlled with the simultaneous conversion of energy from the moving vehicle into electrical energy, which is returned to the high-voltage battery.

Tri-motor power delivery technology and an ultra-smooth twin-shaft drive design provide the optimal balance of power, comfort and economy. The test results of CHERY TIGGO 8 PRO in the e+ plug-in hybrid version in Russian road and climatic conditions confirmed this and showed the following results:

Maximum mileage with full one-tank refueling and 100% charged electric battery in track mode is up to 1000 km;

Fuel consumption for 100 km of track in ideal conditions is 1 liter, and in operation under real conditions, consumption is 1.3 liters of gasoline with an octane rating of 92;

The power reserve of the TIGGO 8 PRO e + plug-in hybrid crossover only when driving on electric motors is 75 km according to the NEDC method;

Acceleration to 100 km / h takes 7.5 seconds. Maximum speed – 180 km / h.

The CHERY TIGGO 8 PRO e+ charging connector complies with the European Type2 standard, which is the most common in Russia. This connector allows you to charge the car at the vast majority of public charging stations. The charging speed at public charging stations can reach 6.5 kW in one hour. When using public charging stations, you may need to register in the provider’s app and pay for the services. Charging the car is also possible at home, thanks to the supplied adapter.

The full charging time required for CHERY TIGGO 8 PRO e+ depends on charger power, grid power, external conditions (air and battery temperature) and ranges from 2.5 to 7 hours.

The TIGGO 8 PRO e+ crossover gives its owner the benefits of an electric vehicle in daily city driving, and on long journeys the capabilities of a PHEV are enough to reduce the average fuel bill to an almost unrealistic level. for a conventional gasoline car.
