The American intelligence expert, Jonathan Acuff, of the Department of Intelligence and National Security Studies at the University of Carolina, confirmed that there are 6 scenarios behind the leaking of the Pentagon documents regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The expert told Al-Jazeera website that the 6 scenarios are:
1- The documents were mostly leaked by a US intelligence worker, or the leaks may have come from someone trying to expose wrongdoing by the US government and its spying on allies.
2- The motive behind these leaks may be to contribute to achieving peace.
3- The leaks may be misleading and Russia or China may be behind them, and Russia may have included information that shows it in a weak way, which provides a convincing argument that it is not the source of the leaks.
4- That the leak is part of the US strategy of misinformation and deception, but this scenario is unlikely.
5- That the source of the leaks be from a person who is strongly supportive of Ukraine from within the American intelligence services.
6- The leaks are from pirates who do not have specific political goals, and this is a great possibility.
