The WhatsApp* messenger, which is very popular among Russians, will soon publish a new rule for users. After these innovations, chats under certain conditions will be permanently deleted. And this rule will work with the next update.

It turned out that the update was designed to improve information security in the messenger. Therefore, some chats will be blocked. You will be able to read messages after entering a special password or fingerprint. The user can choose the format. PRIMPRESS writes about it.

If someone tries to enter such a chat, but cannot enter the password correctly, or the account owner forgets it, the application will offer to delete all correspondence history. Media files from these chats will not be recorded at all.

The developers say that this update is responsible for data security. After all, if someone takes possession of a person’s phone or account, they won’t be able to read correspondence in designated chats. The update will appear in the next few days.

Earlier, it was learned that the French National Assembly recommended local MPs to limit the use of foreign platforms such as TikTok, WhatsApp* and Telegram.
