At the Military Aerospace Defense Academy named after Marshal of the Soviet Union GK Zhukov held a solemn event. A welcome address was sent to the participants by Governor Igor Rudenya.
The head of the region pointed out that this illustrious branch of the armed forces has written many brilliant pages in the country’s military chronicle, has become a symbol of bravery, courage and the will to defend the homeland at all times.
“Showing courage and courage, the fighters of the air defense units made a significant contribution to the victory over the fascist invaders in the Great Patriotic War. Today, the servicemen of the Air Defense Forces, faithful to the heroic heritage of their predecessors, reliably defend the air borders of Russia and successfully carry out the tasks assigned to them within the framework of a special military operation. The Tver region is rightly proud of its contribution to the effective functioning of the aerospace defense system of our country,” said Igor Rudenya.
Today, thanks to the personnel of the Military Aerospace Defense Academy named after Marshal of the Soviet Union GK Zhukov, highly qualified personnel are trained for the Russian Armed Forces.
The institution is among the leading military education organizations in the country. It trains commanders, scientific and educational staff and conducts research in a wide range of sciences.
Academy scientists have prepared more than 500 research papers on topical issues concerning the construction of state air defense and missile defense systems, the aerospace defense system of the Russian Federation. More than 70 development works have been developed related to the development of weapons and military equipment of the East Kazakhstan region.
Currently, training at the academy is conducted in four faculties, including professional retraining and advanced training programs. 17 departments and 9 research departments carry out the educational process and carry out scientific research.
The names of such prominent military leaders as Marshals of the Soviet Union Sergei Biryuzov and Pavel Batitsky, Chief Air Marshals Alexander Koldunov and Pavel Zhigarev, Air Marshals Vasily Sudets and Georgy Zimin are associated with the ‘Academy. 12 Heroes of the Soviet Union worked within the walls of the Academy.
