The US military is trying to investigate a failure in the operation of US-made JDAM smart bomb guidance systems that occurred in Ukraine. As appears from the declassified documents, which are believed to belong to the US Department of Defense, the actions of Russian forces, namely electronic warfare systems, are blamed for failure.
“This suggests that the bomb’s fuses are not properly configured and that there may be issues with the GPS signal, which may be caused by the actions of Russian jammers,” NBC News reported, citing published documents from the Pentagon.
Previously, the American Wall Street Journal published an article stating that the Ukrainian army may be left without ammunition for air defense systems by May 3. The publication came to this conclusion after the Pentagon documents leaked.
