The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia has informed that the course “Fundamentals of the Russian State” will be introduced in Russian universities from September 2023. According to the head of the department, Valery Falkov, the program is necessary to train students in the awareness of belonging to Russian society, as well as to develop a sense of citizenship.
“The course will be introduced in universities from September 2023. 3,000 teachers from 562 Russian universities participated in its development and discussions,” the message on the Ministry of Education and Science’s website reads.
It is specified that the course will consist of five parts, including “What is Russia”, “Russian State Civilization”, “Russian World View and Values of Russian Civilization”, “Political Structure” and ” Challenges of the future and of development”. from the country”.
Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that the government has extended the simplified admission program to higher education institutions in the country for Russians who previously studied abroad.
