One of the most important areas of the activities of the prosecutor’s office is appellate work. In the past year, prosecutors resolved 22,749 appeals on the merits. This figure is 11.5% higher than in 2021. 3,182 appeals were satisfied, i.e. 26.9% more than in 2021.
Other jurisdiction departments accepted 6,627 appeals. 70.2% of appeals concerned the application of federal legislation.
One in eight appeals was satisfied. Inspections were carried out, according to the results of which 7,135 violations of the law were found. In order to eliminate them, 96 illegal legal acts were protested, 2,134 submissions were made, 542 lawsuits were sent to court, 19 officials were warned of the inadmissibility of law violations, two requests were sent to amend the normative legal act, 289 people were brought to administrative responsibility.
In 2022, 12,991 citizens were admitted to the regional prosecutor’s office, i.e. 6.6% more in 2021.
In total, the apparatus of the regional, city, interdistrict public prosecutor’s offices, district prosecutors, specialized public prosecutors and their deputies, taking into account the analysis of the state of legality, carried out 637 reception visits in the municipalities, in supervised companies and organisations.
