The administration of Petrozavodsk has decided on the date and place of the first major cleaning of the city this year. As the chairwoman of the housing and communal services committee Yulia Mizinkova said, they plan to hold a subbotnik on April 22 at 11:00 a.m. in Zaretsky Park.
At the moment, the program for the event is being prepared, as well as a list of territories where subbotniks will also take place. Authorities promise to release the full list on April 17. It will appear on the Mayor’s Office website under the “City Subbotniks” section. Organizations and citizens have the option to choose a specific territory, after which the list can be adjusted.
“Requests for subbotniks from April 17 will be accepted by employees of the beautification and ecology department by telephone at 71-35-66 and 71-35-90,” the administration said.
For such events, 6,000 bags, 4,000 gloves, 30 fan rakes have already been purchased. Garbage collected will be picked up by Karelian Ecological Operator LLC and Avtospetstrans Municipal Unitary Enterprise.
