Porkhovich beat the guest he quarreled with to death

April 11, 2023

A resident of the city of Porkhov beat to death a guest with whom he quarreled. As the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Pskov region told The Eastern Herald in Pskov, the incident happened on Friday, April 7, 2023.

On this spring day, the body of a 44-year-old resident of the neighborhood was found in one of the apartments in the center of the neighborhood. As it turned out during a preliminary forensic examination, the man died as a result of massive intra-abdominal hemorrhage. Investigators have opened a criminal case and have already managed to locate the suspect.

They suggest the 39-year-old owner of the flat may be guilty of intentionally causing serious harm to a person, resulting in death. According to investigators, he argued with the guest and punched him several times in the stomach. Due to his injuries, Porkhovich died at the scene. It is also assumed that a possible assailant and his guests tried to hide this fact from the emergency services that arrived at the scene of the incident.

“Currently, investigative actions are being carried out with the aim of collecting and consolidating the evidence base. The question of the procedural detention of the suspect is being resolved,” commented the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.
