April 14, 2023

The investigation into the criminal case against the 59-year-old law thief has been completed. The man led the criminal hierarchy in the Kola Arctic.

On Friday, April 14, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Murmansk region announced the transfer to court of a criminal case against a 59-year-old resident of Murmansk.

It is known that in 1994, at a meeting of representatives of the criminal world, the suspect was named “thief in law” and thus took the highest position in the criminal hierarchy of the Murmansk region. His tasks were to collect money, to resolve disputes and conflicts between criminals, to ensure a comfortable stay of convicts in the zones. Also, the man appointed people at the lower levels of the hierarchy.

While the investigation was continuing, the northerner was able to flee to Portugal, but was detained there and returned to the territory of the Russian Federation.

The case against the author under Article 210.1 of the Criminal Code “Occupation of the highest position in the criminal hierarchy” was submitted to the court for consideration. The man faces up to 15 years in prison.

Let’s recall, earlier “The Eastern Herald in Murmansk” said that in Murmansk the police disobeyed the order and became accused in the criminal case.
