Russian People’s Artist Sergei Bezrukov said that while playing the role of Yegor Glumov in Alexander Ostrovsky’s play “Enough stupidity for every wise man”, he often met fans for 15 years who did not know how to performance would end. About this to the correspondent NEWS.ru the actor spoke at the opening of the cycle of lectures with a star at the Russian Lenin State Library.
Bezrukov took part in a library project dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the writer Alexander Ostrovsky. During the opening, he shared that he was sometimes very surprised by the ignorance of his viewers. Because of this, he concluded that many people simply hadn’t read the classic play.
“During the intermission, they approached me backstage and asked me with genuine interest, ‘What’s going to happen next, how’s it going to end?!’ ‘they haven’t read Ostrovsky,’ the People’s Artist shared.
