Drunk driver awaits trial in Suzdal

April 14, 2023

In Suzdal, a 64-year-old resident of the Suzdal region, who repeatedly got drunk while driving, turned out to be in the dock.

An elderly man has already been placed under administrative responsibility for driving while intoxicated. He suffered the standard penalty for such a situation in the form of a fine of 30,000 rubles and deprivation of rights for a year and a half.

However, despite the age at which wisdom is inherent, the man did not draw the right conclusions for himself and on February 24 he was arrested by traffic police inspectors in Spassky Gorodische. The concentration of alcohol in the air he exhaled was more than three times the norm. The driver started backing up. However, the medical examination confirmed the correctness of the traffic inspectors.

The penalties imposed on the violator of the article provide for both imprisonment and confiscation of the car. There will be a trial soon.
