The French Constitutional Council has approved an increase in the retirement age from 62 to 64. At the same time, he rejected the request of the left parties for a referendum on this reform. This is reported by Franceinfo.
The Council also rejected the clause establishing fines for companies refusing to employ French people over the age of 55. It has been noted that French President Emmanuel Macron must sign a pension reform law within two days.
Earlier, protesters against pension reform stormed into LVMH headquarters in Paris. Last week, protesters took over the offices of one of the world’s largest investment firms. It was already the 12th national action against pension reform.
