The FSB arrested two Ukrainians suspected of participating in the Chelebidzhikhan battalion*

Employees of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) have arrested two Ukrainian citizens suspected of participating in the “Crimean Tatar battalion named after”. Noman Chelebidzhikhan”* (recognized as a terrorist organization in the Russian Federation).

According to the department, the suspects were given the option of voluntarily leaving the National Battalion, but they did not report such an intention to law enforcement. The Ukrainians continued to carry out criminal activities. A criminal case has been opened against the detainees.

In March, a Ukrainian National Battalion activist named Chelebidzhikhan* was also arrested in Crimea. A criminal case was opened against the suspect under Part 2 of Art. 208 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the penalty for which is up to 15 years in prison.
