The Orel region has become a leader in the application of mineral fertilizers to areas sown with wheat in the Central Federal District. This was reported with reference to Orelstat in the press service of the regional government.
The area sown to wheat last year amounted to 340,500 hectares. Of these, 99% have been fertilized. Specify that 94% of crops have made mineral fertilizers. Of these, 82,500 tons are nitrogen, 32,000 tons are phosphorus, 25,000 tons are potash.
A total of 1.5 million tonnes of organic fertilizers were applied to 56,000 hectares. The regional administration noted that crops need to be fed regularly. Only then will they grow and bear fruit properly. To make the land more fertile, local farmers use fertilizers. They are usually applied before winter and spring.
