The State of Qatar participated in the ministerial consultative meeting between the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Iraq, which was held on Friday in the city of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The delegation of the State of Qatar was headed by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on a number of issues and developments in the region. The centrality of the Palestinian cause and its priority were emphasized, and the illegal Israeli practices that undermine the two-state solution were condemned, in addition to the Israeli attacks on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Qudsi Al-Sharif, and the violation of the sanctity of the Holy places.
They also consulted and exchanged views on the efforts exerted to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis that puts an end to the suffering of the brotherly Syrian people, addresses all its repercussions, and preserves the unity of the Syrian soil.
