Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov has been removed from his post as Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian Federation on the Board of Directors of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB). This is stated in the corresponding ordinance published on the official legal information Internet portal.
“In connection with the profound changes taking place in international relations, the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Siluanov AG communicated on the exercise of the functions of the authorized representative of the Russian Federation on the Board of Directors of the Eurasian Bank of Development to the subsequent appointment of a new authorized representative of the Russian Federation to the Board of Directors of the Eurasian Development Bank,” the order reads.
Earlier, Anton Siluanov said there was no quick fix to the problem of frozen Russian assets in the West. According to the head of the Ministry of Finance, all parties are interested in resolving this problem and work is underway.
