The Russian figure skater, Olympic champion in ice dancing, Tatyana Navka, spoke of the congratulations of Roman Kostomarov, hospitalized since the beginning of January 2023.
Navka celebrated her birthday on April 13.
In her telegram channel Tatyana thanked everyone who congratulated her, but noted one of the congratulations – from Kostomarov.
“Roma personally congratulated, I was incredibly happy to hear his voice,” Navka wrote.
Recall that doctors and Roman Kostomarov himself have been fighting for his life and health since January 10, when the skater was in intensive care with pneumonia. He then underwent several amputations due to sepsis and circulatory problems. Recently, we learned of some improvement in his condition. Roman is said to be able to sit up on the bed unaided and continues to rebuild his muscles.
Earlier, TASS reported that Roman Kostomarov will stay in hospital for another two to three months. Recently, the skater underwent surgery to form a leg stump – this is necessary for further prostheses.
