350 million rubles will be allocated in the Nizhny Novgorod region for the training of doctors and medical equipment

The Nizhny Novgorod Region Compulsory Health Insurance Fund will allocate more than 350 million rubles in 2023 for the purchase of medical equipment and advanced training of medical personnel.

The funds are allocated from the standardized insurance reserve of the territorial fund. In 2016, it amounted to 132 million rubles and has been growing steadily since then, eventually exceeding the amount of 350 million. Over the years, 3,000 doctors have been paid for advanced training from the insurance reserve, 619 units have been purchased, and 293 units of medical equipment have been repaired.

In 2022, medical institutions of the Nizhny Novgorod region thus received 85 units of special equipment. Including 4 mobile X-ray devices, two ultrasound scanners with sensors allowing diagnosis during surgery and a mammography.
