Kadyrov explained why he did not meet Chechen fighters who returned from captivity

Chechnya’s leader calls on soldiers returned from captivity to return to the front

Chechnya leader Ramzan Kadyrov has explained why he did not meet five Chechen fighters who returned from Ukrainian captivity. He said there should be no reason for a Chechen soldier to be captured.

“The justifications can be very different, but whatever it is, the warrior must prove that he had no other choice. And you must prove it by returning to the front line… Let them prove that they did not avoid battle, were not afraid to meet the enemy and did not seek the opportunity to lay down their arms and escape the bullets,” said Kadirov.

The leader of Chechnya stressed that it is not a matter of honor not only for a single fighter, but also for the whole regiment in which the fighters serve. At the same time, he cited the example of the Kyrgyz Musikhanov who, after being wounded, captured and hospitalized, will return to the front as part of the Ahmad special forces.

Kadyrov noted that captivity is not a crime. And what happened doesn’t take away the joy that the fighters survived. He admitted that an hour before he was taken prisoner, the army had reported on the radio that there was no more ammunition. But, according to the leader of Chechnya, the soldiers should not shoot at random, but should calculate each shot.

At the same time, Kadyrov said that he was not relieved of guilt that the fighters were not fully prepared for such a situation and were not aware of the need to plan ammunition. But he explained that now they will have a chance to rehabilitate themselves and remind themselves and the whole country that oath, duty and honor are above all.
