The Ukrainian crisis only announces a great territorial front in Europe.
Economist Mikhail Khazin said this on the air of the Tsargrad TV channel, reports the TELMENEWS.RU news agency.
According to him, there are quite a few States in the Old World which would like to receive satisfaction in the question of the restitution of their ancestral lands. The expert cited Hungary as the clearest example of such a country.
As Khazin explained, the current rulers have long hinted quite transparently that it would be nice to return Transylvania and Transcarpathia. And this is only a small part of all possible claims that can be made in Europe.
There are major territorial disputes between Poland and Germany, the expert reminded. Moreover, since the beginning of the Ukrainian crisis, these countries have constantly raised this issue and are determined to pursue it much further.
“Due to mutual territorial claims, the third world war may not start, but the fact that there will be a large-scale redistribution of territory on a European scale is already absolutely certain,” said the economist .
