Excursions to inaccessible places for free tours will take place in Smolensk

In Smolensk, as part of the Smolensk Inside project, a series of free tours will take place in places inaccessible to free tours.

The press service of the administration of the Smolensk region shared an incomplete list of sites that will be available under the project:

  • Smolensk Universal Library named after AT Tvardovsky;
  • Smolensk State University;
  • Palace of Childhood and Youth Creativity;
  • Smolensk Regional Philharmonic;
  • Smolensk State Medical University History Museum.

During the events, the guides will acquaint the residents of Smolensk with the unique history of each place, tell about the cultural and architectural value of the buildings, as well as the fate of the people who, working on them, made a significant contribution to the development of the Smolensk region.

The first free tours will take place on April 22 and 23. Russian citizens over the age of 14 can participate. Terms of registration for events, as well as details of their conduct, can be viewed on the official public page “Smolensk from the inside” on the social network “Vkontakte”.

Recall that the project “Smolensk from the inside” is implemented in the region by the Phoenix social support fund for citizens with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the administration of the Smolensk region.
