New York: Two murder accused in India have been arrested in a multi-agency operation in the US state of California. A local prosecutor said that he was arrested in connection with the violence between Sikhs. Sutter County District Attorney Jennifer Dupre said Monday that both men were fugitives from India or wanted in multiple murders outside India.
In an online news conference, he said California officials would have to seek international authorities about his extradition. A chart released by his office showed 17 arrests in Operation Broken Sword. The two men wanted in India have been identified as Pavitter Singh and Hussaindeep Singh.
Dupre said she doesn’t think they are US citizens, but she can’t say for sure right now. Child pornography, narcotics, 41 guns, including an AR15 semi-automatic rifle, an AK-47 rifle, and at least one machine gun were seized during the raid, he said. A man has been arrested on charges of child pornography.
