A criminal case was brought against the owner under Part 1 of Art. 232 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“organization or maintenance of dens or systematic provision of premises for the consumption of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues”). Belgorodka faces up to 4 years in prison. Its guests will bear administrative responsibility under part 1 of article 6.9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“consumption of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances without a doctor’s prescription”).
