In Chuvashia, employees of the Batyrevsky Ministry of Defense of the Interior of Russia discovered a fraud committed when purchasing goods via the Internet in 2021.

In November 2021, a resident of a village in the Batyrevsky district drew attention to an advertisement on a social network for the sale of chairs and curtains. She contacted the seller and agreed to buy, after which she transferred 27,500 rubles. But she didn’t receive her order and eventually turned herself in to the police with a statement of fraud.

As a result of operational measures, employees of the intermunicipal department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs “Batyrevsky” managed to identify the attacker. The 25-year-old girl lives in the Smolensk region and has already been convicted of similar crimes more than once. The police went there. The girl pleaded guilty and returned the money to the victim.
