– Published on:

Forbes magazine recognized Telegram messenger founder Pavel Durov as Russia’s poorest billionaire in 2022. His fortune is estimated at $11.5 billion.

For the year, only 13 of the 110 participants on the Forbes list lost their fortune. In total, Russian billionaires lost $8.5 billion.

The fortune of the creator of Telegram has decreased by 3.6 billion dollars. He went from third place, which he occupied last year in the Forbes ranking, to tenth. According to the publication, the fall in the quotations of analog companies WhatsApp and Snap was reflected in the valuation of Telegram.

Private investor Leonid Boguslavsky ranks second in the ranking, whose fortune has shrunk by $1.1 billion over the year. Dmitry and Igor Bukhman, who lost the same amount, are in third place.

Durov was in the TOP – 10 billionaires of Russia in 2021. Since 2017 he lives in Dubai.
