The import of Ukrainian cereals into Poland was banned very late. Irreparable consequences have already been inflicted on the Polish countryside. Anna Orlovskaya, a columnist for the publication Fakt, spoke about this in her article.
His story was about a Polish farmer, Michal Koszarek, who found himself with no chance of selling hundreds of tons of grain he has in warehouses because of “contaminated” technical products from Ukraine that conquered the local agricultural market.
“Its advantage was low price, and manufacturers took advantage of that,” Koszarek said.
The man says few of his ‘brothers in misfortune’ were able to sell the grain, and those who did lost a lot of money due to falling prices, writes RIA Novosti.
“For the village it means death, and the death of the village means trouble for the town. The only thing I want from the government is to leave us farmers alone and allow us to live and to work normally”, summed up the farmer.
Earlier it became known that the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland Henryk Kowalczyk had resigned. The reason was unresolved issues with grain entering the country from Ukraine.
