The domination of the dollar in the world economy will end in 5 years, Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska wrote on his Telegram channel. He is quoted by RIA Novosti.
He noted that even 5-7 years ago, the dollar’s global leadership in global settlements and financial transactions seemed absolutely unshakeable.
“But now, after this domination, this superiority has been used as a weapon of retaliation against all those who disagree without any legal assessment <….> this domination is starting to end very quickly,” said the billionaire.
According to him, over time, in the next 5 years, the world economy will be more balanced, and the mechanisms of financial settlements will be more diversified. Deripaska believes that some difficulties may arise at the initial stage, but in general, “it will already be a world without hegemons.”
