Politico: The EU wanted to remove four states from the zone of influence of Russia and China

The European Union (EU) is trying to improve relations with several states in order to persuade them to its side, as well as to remove them from the zone of influence of Russia and China. Political reports.

The material indicates that Brussels does not hide its interest in the four countries that are in the zone of influence of the Russian-Chinese union. It should be noted that these countries are Brazil, Chile, Nigeria and Kazakhstan.

Columnist Jacopo Barigazzi believes that these four countries were chosen for a reason. According to him, each of them represents a “potential anchor” for the European Union. Thus, Brazil and Chile are resource-rich states, Nigeria is the economic center of West Africa, and Kazakhstan has gas and oil deposits in Central Asia on its territory.

The EU believes that the inclination of these countries towards Brussels can strengthen their influence vis-Ă -vis the Russian Federation and China, as well as solve resource problems.
