Kolkata. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday expressed grief over the demise of former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
Ms. Banerjee tweeted, “I am deeply saddened by the passing away of former Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal. My thoughts are with his family and supporters in this hour of grief. He described late Badal as a true people’s leader and a man of indomitable courage and said that he contributed a lot to the progress of his state.
Former Punjab Chief Minister Badal breathed his last at a private hospital in Mohali on Tuesday.
