Ukrainian armed forces attempted to attack the Kursk nuclear power plant, located in the city of Kurchatov. The Ukrainian attack was repelled by air defense systems in the region, reports the Mash Telegram channel.

According to unconfirmed reports, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were attacked using a drone launched from the Sumy region. Ukrainian drones were detected by air defense systems, despite the low flight altitude. The drones did not hit their targets, the civilians were not injured.

Kurchatov’s air defense systems worked yesterday, April 26, around 11:00 p.m. At the same time, an alarm was announced in the neighboring region of Bryansk.

Earlier, the “Main Regional” announced that the celebration of Victory Day on May 9 would be canceled in the Kursk region. Governor Roman Starovoit explained the decision by ensuring the safety of local residents.
