Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said he would ask the European Commission to control the export of Ukrainian goods, writes RIA Novosti.
“We will submit an application to the EC with a request for verification of market disruption in several areas, such as poultry, eggs, dairy products,” the Prime Minister said.
Earlier, Hungary and five other countries asked the European Commission to ban the import of agricultural products from Ukraine until the end of 2023.
The head of the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture, Petre Daya, said that the EC was ready to discuss the possibility of suspending the import of Ukrainian wheat until the beginning of June if Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary and Slovakia lifted their unilateral import bans.
Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that ships from the Russian fleet blocked the grain corridor. It is clarified that Russian representatives refused to coordinate the movement from the seaports of Ukraine, so four ships could not leave. Another ship is waiting for passage to the port of Odessa, the Ukrainian side says. There are no further details yet.
