New Delhi. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra today met women wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar here and first demanded the removal of Wrestling Federation President Brij Bhushan Singh from the post to give them justice.
After meeting the women sportspersons, Smt. Vadra told reporters that the entire nation stands in solidarity with the protesting sportspersons and she herself is completely with these women sportspersons who have made the country proud in this fight for justice. He said, “When these daughters of the country come after winning medals, we all feel proud, but today the same daughters are sitting on the road for justice, so no one is ready to listen.”
He said that the person against whom the women players are leveling allegations is in an influential position and enjoys the patronage of power. In such a situation, to give justice to them, it is necessary that the accused should first be removed from his post so that he cannot misuse his position to put pressure on the players. He said that the person on whom these women are alleging is the president of Wrestling Federation of India and they have also lodged an FIR against him but till now these players
