An informed source revealed to Reuters that His Excellency Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani made a final offer to acquire Manchester United before the end of the deadline set on Friday.
The source told Reuters that in addition to making a financial offer to buy Manchester United, Sheikh Jassim’s offer also includes a financing plan with an additional amount of capital and investment in infrastructure, adding that the offer includes 100 percent of the club and the erasure of all debts.
And the British Guardian newspaper reported yesterday that the price set by the owners of the English club is six billion pounds ($ 7.54 billion).
The American owners of Manchester United launched the sale of the club late last year and have already received several offers, including from British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, founder of the chemical company Ineos, and Finnish businessman Thomas Ziliakos.
Last March, Reuters reported that Sheikh Jassim made a second offer to take over the club.
