The State Duma discusses amendments to the law on martial law

Interesting

The State Duma began discussing amendments to the law on martial law. This became known on the morning of April 29.

Chairman of the State Duma Committee on State Building Pavel Krasheninnikov told Vedomosti they were needed due to the fact that the law no longer allows elections to be held if martial law has been introduced to the region.

Such a regime is now operating in four new subjects of the Russian Federation, as the territories are already preparing for the election campaign.

Amendments to the law on martial law may be submitted to the State Duma in the near future. Since these laws are federal constitutional, they have greater legal force than federal laws.

Earlier it became known that the new law on electronic subpoenas, passed by the State Duma on April 11 and approved by senators and the president, raised questions among many residents of Russia.
