His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance, participated in the opening session of the joint annual meetings of the Arab financial bodies at the Arab Monetary Fund, and the meeting of the 14th session of the Council of Arab Finance Ministers, which was held within its framework, in the city of Rabat in the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco.
During the session, the most important regional and international economic developments and the challenges facing the economies of Arab countries were reviewed.
Their Excellencies the Ministers of Finance of the Arab countries discussed, at the meeting of this session, several topics and working papers, including: "Issues of improving the performance of government institutions and companies" Provided by the International Monetary Fund, in addition to "Debt sustainability to counter vulnerability to shocks" Provided by the Arab Monetary Fund.
The meeting was attended by the League of Arab States, the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, and the Arab executives of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group as observers.
It should be noted that the Arab Monetary Fund has assumed the functions of the secretariat of the Council since its inception.
