Somerset (USA) : New York and New Jersey have issued special resolutions to mark the telecast of the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’. The resolutions said this “vital” broadcast has become an effective means of communication to “promote good governance and strengthen democracy”. The resolution passed by the State of New York in the Senate and Assembly on April 26, 2023 congratulates the program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on the telecast of its 100th episode on April 30.
The resolution was introduced in the Senate by Indian-American Senator Kevin Thomas and Indian-American woman member of the assembly Jennifer Rajkumar. This resolution was introduced by Raj Mukherjee in the New Jersey ‘General Assembly’. Edison’s mayor Sam Joshi also presented a resolution on the occasion. The proposals were handed over to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar at a special community function here late on Saturday night. The 100th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ was also telecast in this programme. Jaishankar addressed the Indian American community on the occasion. The program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ started on 3 October 2014 and is telecast on the last Sunday of every month.
