18 killed, 33 injured after tourist bus plunges into gorge in Mexico

Mexico: At least 18 people have been killed and 33 injured after a tourist bus plunged into a gorge in western Mexico. The Prosecutor’s Office of Nayarit State has given this information. The accident happened on a highway connecting the capital Tepic and the city of Puerto Vallarta. The Nayarit Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement on Twitter on Sunday that 11 women and seven men were killed in the tourist bus accident. Another 33 injured were admitted to the hospital. According to police, the bus fell into a nearly 50-foot gorge on its way from Guadalajara city to Rincón de Guayabitos in Compostela municipality of Nayarit state. The case is being investigated.
