Spirited ticket prices.. How long and how to avoid them?

What is the expected shape of travel and hotel traffic in the coming season?

According to the American magazine “Forbes”, airlines in Europe confirm that reservations will be complete next summer, hoping to turn the page on the previous crises they experienced at the height of the Covid-19 virus epidemic. This request is followed by an increase in reservation prices. Europe: Based on the law of supply and demand, airfares to Europe are 24% higher than they have been for the past two years. Asia: Recorded the highest rate of increase in ticket prices, reaching 61%. Africa: An average increase in ticket prices was 21% over last year. Australia and New Zealand: travel prices have increased by 14% since 2022.

What are the reasons?

There is more than one reason behind the increase in travel ticket prices, the most important of which is the increase in fuel prices since the start of the Ukrainian crisis, with an increase of around 16%.

Although tourism businesses are pleased with the resurgence of this season, some warn against being too optimistic, as the sector may be exposed to a recurrence of staff shortages during the high season, as it was the case last summer.

How to get the lowest prices?

And to find out what are the best ways to get lower prices, when it comes to booking tickets, hotels and other travel-related matters, tourism expert Moataz Nabil told “Sky News Arabia”:

“The rise was expected during this period, especially after the effects of the Corona crisis have subsided and travel bans have been lifted in most countries, as there is a thirst for travel.” “There are other factors that have played a role in the price hike, such as rising fuel prices and a lack of employees, especially since many travel and tourism workers have lost their jobs during the Corona crisis.” “I don’t think there will be any signs of a price drop soon, given the significant increase in demand, especially for bookings to winter destinations such as Egypt, Asia and African and Latin American countries. “The demand for travel next summer is also very high on European destinations.” “Prices are not falling, but will rise further, especially since we don’t know if fuel prices will rise further.” “Early booking guarantees far lower prices than travel plans made for a short period of time, so travel should be planned early.”
