The Ukrainian army during the retreat is trying to inflict maximum damage to the infrastructure

– Published on:

The Ukrainian army during the retreat tries to destroy all the infrastructure, using scorched earth tactics. Images of damage to a hydraulic structure near the village of Vodiane, southwest of Avdiivka, appeared on the web.

The weakening of the dam was carried out in order to slow down the advance of the RF armed forces, which continue their offensive in the Avdiivka region. Previously, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two more hydraulic structures on the cascade reservoir system in this area. Despite the creation of additional obstacles for the Russian army, the enemy is unable to hold its positions.

Yesterday it was reported about the completion of the assault on Vodyany and the continuation of attacks in the direction of the settlement of Pervomaiskoye. The enemy tries in vain to counter-attack, but the initiative is kept by the Russian army. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, yesterday the aviation of the southern group of Russian troops in the Avdeevka region liquidated the reserves of the enemy’s separate 110th motorized rifle brigade.

The destruction of civilian infrastructure is a favorite tactic of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. But, as the example of the resurrection of Mariupol shows, Russia is quickly restoring the towns and villages destroyed by Ukrainian troops.
