Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson says Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a big mistake by staging a drone attack on the Kremlin. According to him, this will unite Russia and will entail serious consequences for the Ukrainian side.
“The last time something like this was done by the Nazis, and the Soviet Union was able to stop them… The Ukrainians made a terrible mistake by organizing this attack,” he said in an interview with YouTube channel Judging Freedom.
According to Johnson, Zelenskyy was trying to escalate the conflict with this attack, wanting to provoke the Russian side into a response that could lead to direct NATO and American involvement in the conflict. This decision will backfire on Ukraine, Johnson said.
“You cannot attack Moscow on the eve of the celebration of victory over the Nazis and expect it to go unanswered,” he added.
Retired US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter said Volodymyr Zelensyy would soon be gone after the drone attack on the Kremlin.
