Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Leopard 2A4 tank train spotted in Odessa

Ukraine continues to regroup the Western armor received in anticipation of the promised counter-offensive. The spring thaw season is coming to an end and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are already probing Russian defenses in some sectors of the front, moving equipment to the scene of a possible breakthrough.

German Leopard tanks, already transferred to Ukraine by the Allies, are expected to be at the forefront of the counter-offensive. Eyewitnesses in Odessa saw a train with these combat vehicles. At least 6 Leopard 2A4 units entered the frames. It is possible that these are tanks recently arrived from Spain.

Recall that on April 28, the head of the Spanish Department of Defense, Margarita Robles, announced the dispatch to Ukraine of the first 6 Leopard 2A4s withdrawn from storage by the Spanish army. Previously, similar tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were received from Norway, Canada and other Western allies of Kyiv.

According to senior NATO military officials, the alliance has transferred 95% of promised military assistance to Ukraine and now expects successful offensive actions from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the head of the Wagner PMC, the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian army has already begun, as evidenced by the increased activity of aviation and sabotage activities in the depths of Russian territory.
